An annual program of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) Undergraduate Thesis Grant in Natural Products to provide funding to all undergraduate students who wish to conduct their thesis on natural products from microorganisms and plants which aims to sustain a research culture in natural products to increase the number of research and consequently build a pool of researchers/experts specializing in the field. The program supports the Drug Discovery and Development (Tuklas Lunas) program of the DOST-PCHRD which aims to develop safe, effective, and affordable alternative drugs from the country’s natural resources.
Two (2) qualified applicants per region will receive a thesis grant amounting to seventy-five thousand pesos (PHP 75,000.00). Chosen finalists will orally present after completing the thesis project and submitting the required deliverables to share their findings during the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) week celebration.
