The Philippine Health Research Ethics Board (PHREB) through its Committee on Standards and Accreditation, has granted a Level 2 Full Accreditation to Region 1 Health Research and Development Consortium (R1HRDC) – Ethics Review Committee (ERC) effective October 30, 2025 until October 29, 2026. As per 2022 National Ethical Guidelines for Research Involving Human Participants (NEGRIP 2022), Level 2 accredited REC reviews all types of research except clinical trials required for FDA registration of new drugs before its implementation.
