In light of the urgent need to find the cure/ vaccine to fight COVID-19 and other needs to address current health challenges, the impact of research is once again emphasized. Thus, the R1HRDC – Research Management Committee conducted online review and shortlisting of submitted research proposals on August 13, 2020, via google meet platform.
Eight (8) research proposals were given to the RMC members prior to the online meeting to review the technical aspects and feasibility of the proposals. Among the topics reviewed were:

While the mentioned topics addresses the current pressing health concerns, the RMC members emphasized the importance of the researchers qualification and capacity to conduct the study and at the same time the need to follow ethical guidelines. Moreover, the status of on-going funded studies have been reported as part of the monitoring function of the RMC.
