The Region 1 Health Research and Development Consortium (R1HRDC) – Regional Ethics Monitoring Board (REMB) conducted an Orientation on How to Establish a Research Ethics Committee on November 8, 2018. Also, the R1HRDC  Ethics Review Committee (ERC) hosted the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Writing Training and Workshop on November 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM until November 9, 2018 at 6^th Floor Laboratory and Diagnostics Building of Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Batac City, Ilocos Norte.

The two day activities aimed to educate the participants about the importance of ethics in research and train them on preparing SOP which is one of the requirements for ERC accreditation and to provide a quality work standards for a reliable and coordinated approach on managing learning and development activities within the organization.
