The Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD) is now accepting proposals for the HeaRTNovation Call for Proposals 2026, inviting researchers, higher education institutions, health innovators, and Filipino startups to avail of funding and support for intellectual property protection, technology transfer, commercialization, and research and development initiatives.
The Call for Proposals features three flagship programs under DOST-PCHRD's Intellectual Property and Technology Management (IPTM) initiatives. The Startup Grant Fund (SGF) provides up to ₱5 million in financial assistance to eligible Filipino-owned health startups for research and development activities that enhance core technologies, strengthen intellectual property, build market traction, and refine business models toward scalable health solutions. The Technology Transformation and Empowerment of Knowledge Generators and Innovators in Health (TEKI in Health) offers up to ₱5 million in support to institutions and health researchers with DOST-PCHRD-funded and monitored research outputs that have strong potential for community adoption, intellectual property protection, and commercialization through spin-off companies. Meanwhile, the Intellectual Property Protection and Management of Health Research Outputs (IPROTECH) provides up to ₱3 million in assistance for the protection and management of intellectual property generated through DOST-PCHRD-funded, supported, or monitored health research projects.
